Hi y'all!!! I wanted to do a quick review on August's My Pretty Pink Box. I was soo good and made the video the day it came but y'all know I roll all late & crap. My life has been so hectic!!! School is killing me!!!! My summer session doesn't end until August 28th and I'm taking three 4 credit courses. I also changed my move date!!!! September 10th is just to soon for me to hop on the Midnight Train to Georgia, lol (I'm not taking a train I'm driving). I just have so many loose ends and stuff I need to take care of here before I move. So I plan on moving a month later sometime around Oct. 14th. Changing the date made me feel so much better!!! My mom is happier too. So here's my super cheesy video! I'm trying to get more comfortable shooting them and looking into the cam and not into outer space or touching my face and hair... I also say "ummmmm" a lot....

Hi y'all.... So as you guys know I'm moving..I've been getting a bunch of emails about where and why so I guess I'll dedicate a post to it.... I'm flying away from my comfy plushy nest.... Out of the arms of my momma... Hopefully my wings will work and I'll be able to fly.......... I'm moving to Columbus, GA for a little bit to help out my cousin Krissy!! She's having a baby on Sept. 15th and her hubby will be overseas.. Then on to Atlanta... If your wondering where Columbus, GA is it's the purple arrow on the boarder of Georgia & Alabama... Yes, y'all ALABAMA!!!! I will be like living across the street from Alabama........ I forgot to look at a map before I agreed to move next to Alabama!!! I figure it will be good for me, I'll catch an accent a lot quicker down there...
There's an army base there too! So I guess I'll be protected by some single hott southern men in uniform..... She's having a baby on Sept. 15th and her hubby will be overseas.. I'm driving down!!! I'm not taking everything initially. Just clothes, hair & makeup stuff.... My car isn't that big....
Hair crap, my makeup stash, and my clothes in that car!!!! OMG! My moms coming with me, I told her all she can bring is herself and one tote bag! She's really small so I'm thinking of making her sit in the backseat in the middle on that humpy thing.... I'm gonna pack and box everything and label it and my parents are gonna end up shipping my stuff down when I move out of Krissy's place and get my own place in Atlanta.... It's a really long drive......... 16hrs & 18mins.... In Kendall speed it'll probably be 13hrs *crosses fingers*... I want to do it in one shot! Only stopping to pee and take random pics of stuff along the way.... If you live along the blue line and wouldn't me dropping in to pee e-mail me :)
Where am I going to live in Atlanta?? I really don't know... I've eliminated the parts where I don't want to live.... I definitely don't want to live around here.. I'm hooked on the Dunwoody area... People keep saying if I move a little further out that I can get more for my money!!! But I'm hard-headed and set on it.... It's a really nice area and it's a retail shopping dream....... I've decided that I wont be happy unless I live very close to the Perimeter Mall! Freestanding MAC store!!! I guess, I'll really figure it out when I know out where I'm gonna work! I also have cousins in Decatur, College Park, McDounugh (too far), Woodstock... I have friends in Dunwoody, Duluth, Buckhead, & Norcross
I'm really scared about this move... As each day passes I get more and more nervous...I've been experiencing symtopms of anxiety!!!! I'm sooo tight with my mom.... I like need her to survive, but I'm too old to be soo dependent on my mom, even Rory Gilmore left the nest.... Oh, I do have a dad, he lives here too, I'm just a mommy girl..... I like tell her everything, even stuff that she doesn't need to know.... I'm a mess! I have no life skills (unless you count my 2 yr stint in college)..... I'm going to have to like buy cleaning stuff!! I'm going to have to buy milk! I don't even like milk, but I guess you need it to cook stuff..... I can't cook!!!! I can make Hamburger Helper really good! I'm going to have to go buy groceries..... When I get my place in ATL it's gonna be hot mess. Instead of go Kendra, it's should be go Kendall......

LUSH's SILKY UNDERWEAR POWDER... Since it's summer I've been looking for a body powder that I liked a little better than baby power....... I heard about Lush's line of powders and picked Silky Underwear... They carry a few in store I had my eye & nose on a vanilla one that smelled really good but it had glitter or some shimmer crap in it and I'm grown... There's a time and place for shimmer one grown people.... They had another one but I can't remember the name it smelled a little to "hippie-ish" for my taste...
What the website claims: Silky Underwear is refreshing anytime. Cornstarch keeps your skin silky, while tiny grains of cocoa butter lightly moisturize. Apply it as a pick-me-up during the day or after the show to slow down before bed. However you want to use it, Silky's subtle yet sexy jasmine and vetivert scent leaves you wanting more.

Packaging - the holes are really big and I feel like I waste a lot of product...
Packaging- I can dispense some product with it "closed"If the product falls or gets knocked over power will come out (not a lot) if you knock it over open your SCREWED & annoyed!!!!

I really wanted to take some on my trip but I couldn't figure out how to pack it, and the whole container would of been messy and I was afraid to put it in a baggie b/c I didn't want it to look like cocaine.... :(
Rant: I HATE GOING TO THE LUSH STORE!!!! The sales people are so "all up in your face", they don't back off and they roll in packs and don't give you any privacy or "thinking time".... I like LUSH products and I was soo excited when they opened a store in my mall! Maybe I'm stank but I need space when I shop, if I need help I'll ask...I can sniff power and read labels by myself, I'm a big girl. Pushiness is such a turn off, but I don't blame the sales associates I blame the LUSH Store Training Manual or whatever they teach them at LUSH school...... rant over....
Overall Score : 5/5 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ FOTN - I know I said I wouldn't post anymore purple looks...Purple is my crack..... This is a look I did a while back when I went to Mohegan Sun.... The lamest casino in the world.... Takes forever to get a drink, you can only have one little drink in your hand at a time (I was holding my friends while she was fixing her shoe drink and I got in trouble).... The shops close early and I really wanted to go shopping :( Oh and they have last call!!! I'm used to Vegas, I guess.....

Saturday Night 07.18.09- We Be Clubbin'
After the Family Banquet it was time to hit the club!!! I had to go to a least one club while I was in the "A".... So my cousin Monica (side note when we were kids Monica would come stay at old house on Long Island for a week or two every summer, and I was so jealous of her cute Southern Twang, after she left I would keep her accent for weeks... ) So Monica suggested a Club Called Hole in The Wall, in Buckhead (which is a part of Atlanta) So me, Monica and two other cousins James and Kevin, meet me back at my hotel and we flew out in my Economy Rental car like a bunch of ballas, lol The club was HUGE!!! I loved that it was well air-conditioned (it's hot down there y'all), they also had lots of big fans, and an out door area. This place has like 3 bars and a few pool tables. FTON- Touched up from the Banquet (this pic was taken in the bathroom at the club)...
We had a really good time bonding and catching up and looking at the eye candy!!!!! I thought that I could dance, I guess I dance like a Northeast girl... .... Well in the south, y'all people have a choreographed dance for so many songs, I had to go to Twitter for help, lol.... I didn't know how to Swag Surf., I'm still slow hen it came time to do da 'Stanky Leg', I also didn't know how to Turn My Swag On..... I'm good with doing the Halle Berrrry, :)Besides that I had a great time!!! I secretly recorded a guy dancing....
ATL- Club Cam
He was such a good dancer, then a bit later he asked to dance with me, actually he didn't ask he just kinda pushed up on me.... The club was really fun, I only wanted to stay out till 2am, but that didn't happen. I missed the family breakfast the next morning at hotel. Actually, my mom said that no one between the ages of 21-29 showed up :)
Sunday 07.19.09~ Wednesday 07.22.09
It was time to check out of the Marriott and to take my mom to the airport on Sunday afternoon! It was sad! I'm so attached to my mom, but I was also excited to be "on my own'" in ATL for a few days. I booked my hotel via Hotwire.com and I was nervous as hell because you choose your preferences and you don't see the name until you pay for it..... I stayed at Extended Stay Hotels
It ended up being a great hotel for what I paid, $100 for 3 nights!!!! My room was huge, I had a desk area, big bathroom, king bed, pull out couch/ sitting area full fridge, stove, sink, microwave and the kitchen cabinets were stocked with pots, pans, dishes, forks and knives!! I was like, damn I could live here, lol.... Only catch is there isn't daily housekeeping unless you request and pay for it. Housekeeping only comes every 7 days, but if you want/need more towels, toilet paper, linens you can request them free of charge. That was no big deal to me, I'm grown, I can make my bed besides I didn't have to tip anyone or worry about people coming in my room... Besides, I had a great view every morning..... Seriously, who wouldn't wanna pull back the curtains and see that.......
I wont do a day by day anymore because at this point I can't remember on what day I did what.... So if you were there and I'm mixing up the days forgive me :)
Random ATL FOTD! (I'm a Beauty Blogger)
I hung out with Jaimie and Ke'anna we met up at an Italian restaurant by her house called Carrabas that had the best Lobster Ravioli!!!! (ok I'm clueless this is a chain place, I just Googled it and found one by me, it didn't taste chainy) She made me go NAKED FACED b/c she was going to do my makeup. Like my Kim K. big curl FAIL, lol.... After lunch Jaimie, Ke'anna & I went back to Jaimie's crib and she got to work and played with my face. Ahhh.... Much better, lol..... I can't believe I went out to eat all naked faced!!! If you have any questions about my look du jour contact Jaimie b/c I don't know what she did but, she made me look pretty!!!! Besides she's like a professional...... I just play with stuff :)
Then she touched up Ke'anna's makeup a bit, which was fine and then I said "let's cam whore y'all!!!" With that statement I knew right there that us three are destined to be BFF's or as they say down there Ace Boon Coons b/c they didn't give me the side eye.....

After our makeovers and cam whoring we headed back near where I was staying in ATL and went and we went to the Perimeter Mall right by my hotel. The Perimeter mall boasts the only Free Standing MAC Store in the state of G.A.!!!!!!! Jaimie my love has a ProCard and she shares......... :) So I got a few things :) I treated to Jaimie a Powder MSF for letting me use her ProCard and for being such a genuine and sweet person. She let me into her duo with her and Ke'anna and now it's an official trio :)
After the mall, and at stop at Chic-a-fil-a, (yummmm, we don't have Chic-a-fil-a in the N.E.) we had a little bit of car trouble!!!!! Jaimie can work a brush but the po' chile is a FAIL when it comes to figuring out if your car is over heated!!! lol So we jumped in my pathetic ecomony rental and went to WalMart!! They have the solution to every problem at WalMart!!! But Ke'anna saved the day by pouring Coolant in Jaimies car in front of BLOOMINGDALES, lol......
All fixed!!!!! Yay Ke'anna!!!!

I almost caused an accident when I passed this billboard.. I don't think Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would of approved of one of the lines from one of his most famous speeches to be used in a advertisement for BOND BONDS!!!! I've also never seen a billboard for weave hair!!!!
I also stopped at my Jason's apartment in Decatur. I died when I saw "the bucket" at last year's family reunion in Memphis we went out one night on Beale St., and got us a big ass bucket of alcohol and we were supposed to share it!!! Jason got greddy, he claimed the bucket of alcohol like it was an infant or something.

Hi y'all.... So some of y'all may be wondering.... What goes on at a Black Family Reuion? I've seriosuly have had people ask me this question. This is just my family, I can't speak for all black folks :)
Saturday 07.18.09 ~ Family Banquet 7:00pm <---lol.....
(I'm sorry, but you can't expect a bunch of black folks to show up at 7pm... We didn't get started till 8:30ish. I think 7pm was in 'colored people time CPT).....
This was my FOTN.... Gold Winged Eye... That I jacked from Katrina and keep rockin'.... I know I had lashes on because that's how I roll but maybe I took the pic before I put them on. I don't remember what I used because my memory sucks and I didn't write it down, I didn't fill-in my brows FOTN FAIL!!! I was like an hour late and I know it was wardrobe makeup related.
When I walked into the banquet room I saw the people who we usually sit with. My g'ma Mommy Cat was missing. This was the 1st reuion since they started having them 39 years ago that she missed. I ran out crying.... I couldn't go back in... So I went outside then to the ladies room to fix my face that I spent so long on to go back in. I said, "I love you Mommy Cat, but I'm not gonna cry and upset people and potentially lose an eyelash and get my mother more upset..... Then when I got back my mom got upset about the same thing. It was her frist reuinion without her mommy....It was a sad moment. The other sad moment was the moment of silence, we do it each year... Bascially everyone is quiet and any family can say the name of someone who's passed away in the family. I heard all of the ususal names, then my g'mas sister my Great Aunt Jean said Catherine Crim.... Then my mom & I really lost it... It was the first time we heard her name called during the moment of silence.... :( My cousin is soo gonna kill me for posting this but it's too cute. He wrote this song a few years ago and we make/ask him to sing it every year.... It's called "Family Love is Forever"... Kinda our 'tagline'.... He started a little choppy at the beginning but he did good for singin acepella. He's gonna be a Precher!! Headed to seminary school in the fall. Don't know why he needs to go, he got his bible game down pat, always telling me that all the answers to my questions are in the "book". Ignore my cousins (yes, I have white cousins, we friendly & mixed) head holding the baby and the kiddies runnin' around, I'm not a videographer or whatever y'all lucky I figure out how to put titles and crap....

So after the song, announcements, brief open mic session & blessing the food it was time for eatin'..... There was a good selection of food but the ATL Airport Marriott Hotel FAILED!!! When I'm "down south", I expect my food to taste SOUTHERN..... The food tasted like food, no flavor. There were a lot of other banquets and events going on at the hotel that night and the food tasted mass produced, like cheap Buffet food.... The mac & cheese broke my heart, it tasted like sh!t, nobody ate it!!! It tasted like somebody accidentally poured lemon juice all over it. I'm in no way trying to offend those who planned the reuion it wasn't there fault, they weren't cookin'... I blame the MARRIOTT!!!!!

I remember the good old days when I was a kid and I got to plop my behind on the floor.... Now I'm old and I have to stand for 20mins while we get situated b/c everyone is talking and no one is paying attention..... I can't wait till I'm really old, then I get a chair.... Bless Marc's heart for doing this every year. I don't have the patience to pose and place everyone....
As corny as it sounds I actually look foward to our annual family reunions. You get to see the extended family that maybe lives far away. We (the NY Family) made that banner over 10 years ago. It gets passes onto the next host family during the Breakfast/Business meeting on Sunday morning. Then the fun part!!! Dancing....

So that's what we do. The next morning there's a family breakfast business meeting where the banner is passed to the next hosting family. I heard Boston, MA claimed it so I'll be in Boston next July. I didn't attend the breakfast the next morning b/c me and the 21 and over cousins went to a club after the banquet, I don't think I've ever made it to the breakfast..... They discuss grown folk stuff like the scholorship fund, dues, the family website etc....
This is gonna be a 3 parter, lol.... I still have the club, some more FOTDs & FOTNs and hauling with Ms. Jaimie at MAC!!! I also have an announcement to share with y'all!!! No I'm not pregnant!!!!!
