Special Makeup.... Bequethed to Me...

Hi, y'all! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Being newly single I decided to hit the town alone on Friday night. I'm such a shy-ass chicken. I didn't have the balls to go in anywhere. Which sucks because I was craving a Stoli Razz & Sprite....Oh well, I'll give it another try sometime soon. Saturday was STUDY DAY ALL DAY >_<
Today (Sunday), my Mom and I went to Queens, NY to try to get my Grandmothers appt. cleaned out. It's so hard because everything we look at has sentimental value and we don't get much accomplished because we look at everything then reminence. But I make a tiny dent in Mommy Cat's (that's what I called my grandmother) things... I took all her makeup, lol. She really wasn't a "makeup" person, just lipstick, blush and she always lined eyes with black kohl liner. I also took all her bobby pins she a million of them and I'm always losing them. I have to be careful though b/c if my mom sees a random bobby pin on the floor she gets sad.......

Springtime Clinique Makeup Bag (I don't think she used it it's in perfect condition
Clinique Eyelash Curler (I needed a new one)
Clinique Lippie in Metallic Sand
MaryKay Blush in Teaberry (that she bought from me when I was a "Mary Kay Lady")
MaryKay Lippie in Black Cherry (she bought that from me too)
Nothing in the bag was used. Someone probably have it to her and she must of kept it, I remember trying to swipe it before, lol

Close Up of the Eyeshadow Palette. I love the colors they are great for a neutral everyday low-key look.

Here's a close up of the lippie.

Have any of y'all ever heard of "Indian Blush". My Aunt (my grandmas sister) told me that is from India but I don't know. The Blush in in a ceramic jar with a cork on top and it blush power is loose. The blush is a really pretty color. I don't think that I'm going to use it because I remember her having these since I was a little girl.

So I'm sure y'all are wondering about my NO HAULING challenge. I'm doing good so far, lol. I only bought 1 thing on Saturday (the first day of the challenge) but it was the only day this week that I could make it to the mall. I only got MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack. I'm proud of myself. I only got the one thing that I went in there for. It's going to be hard though. I think I'm going to go to Makeup Rehab, then move into a Makeup Free Living House. :)

That's it! I did the most aweful look with blue shadow.... I should make a post about it, lol it was bad!!!! Maybe y'all could give me some pointers.

XoXo

I'm on a no haul, too. Waiting for Easter like a madwoman!

I would so go out with you if I lived near you. I'm not single but all my girlfriends have kids and can't go anywhere! And since I'm super shy too, we could push each other! Ha!

And I just read the post on your grandmother. I'm so sorry, hun. And this: "I think there should be a store called Funeral Couture or During This Difficult Time Wear" is so true! I was like a nut going from store to store trying to find something for my dad's funeral. And it's so hard to shop when you lose someone close to you.

Awwa..I love this post! It's so nice that you can have that stuff and use it and smile :)

About your comment, I feel exactly the same! In my imagination I can pair things and rock crazy outfits and then I wear this bland wardrobe!

Aww what a sweet post. I think I'd keep my grandmother's makeup too. Even if I don't plan on using it hehe!

Good luck on your challenge! So far I'm doing well too. NO BUYING!
