Smashbox's Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer

Hey Y'all!!!

I feel like sharing. It's starting to get hot in Atlanta!! I love summer and warm weather so I'm not complaining. Hot weather also means no foundation for me, unless its a special occasion, late in the evening. There's just no point. My face needs to breathe and melty faces aren't cute!

For the past year during the warmer months I've been using Smashbox's Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free UVA/UVB SPF 15. This stuff is holy grail status for me!

It's no secret that I have a dark complexion, I've been looking for a tinted moisturizer that actually matched me for a long time. At one point I was mixing a little bit of my regular foundation with my face moisturizer. I need something more than Ivory, Buff, or Tan!!!  I have darkskin!! Maybe Smashbox secretly heard my whining and complaining because they have a shade called DARK. Dark matches me perfectly.

Tinted Moisturizer is not foundation. The coverage isn't much. It's thin, light and sheer. It's just enough to help even out your complexion and fix minor flaws. After I apply I use a bit of bronzer over it. I like to glow. This brand also has SPF 15.

Directions: For longer wear, apply Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer over the Photo Finish Foundation Primer of your choice using fingertips.

A little goes a long way. A pea sized amount is enough to cover my face.

I do notice that the product lasts longer when a primer is used. I sometimes skip that step because if it's really hot I don't feel like its worth putting on primer. I also find that this products works fine and blends well with concealer underneath.
What They Claim: Our new lightweight, oil-free tinted moisturizer is packed with vitamins and anti-aging peptides for naturally radiant skin. The unique citrus honey moisturization technology nourishes as it absorbs excess oil throughout the day, and UVA/UVB SPF 15 guards against future damage so skin stays flawless and protected.

Don't tell anybody but purchased mine over a year ago and I still have a good amount left. The "rules" say you should toss stuff after a certain amount of time. I'm a rule breaker. I will probably have to get a new one in about a month or so. I'm on a "beauty budget" but I find this product worth the price. It's really worth it to me because it actually matches.

Luv Y'all!!!

Mean It!

I want to try this, but I can't justify the purchase right now... :-( I have too many foundations and tinted moisturizers laying around.

By the way, I'm a rule breaker too. I usually wait with trowing something away until it starts smelling or look funny. This is bad, I know...

I don't follow the throw away rule either. I'm more of a "when in doubt, throw it out" kinda girl. I toss it if smells weird or looks funky. Also it squeezes out so its not like I'm sticking my fingers in it. I only bought it bc it matches me perfectly. I'm an end of the "spectrum mocha"
