Product Review Benefit Girls Night In & Playboy Bunny is Missing!!!!

Hi y'all! Did everyone have a good weekend? Is everyone staying pretty? I managed to lose another pair of lashes at a club on Saturday, *tear*, usually I manage to lose one lash not a pair. Thank god I carry around MARK The Hookup Mascara in my tiny "bar" purse, it fits perfectly because its so tiny. So I somehow found myself in Sephora on Sunday ok, I went there on purpose. I wanted to swatch the Bare Minerals foundation but the "darkest"shade Deep Dark looked kinda wonky me. Note: Deep Dark does not always apply to dark skinned women >_<.... Us "Deep Dark" woman come in many shades of "Deep Dark" I remembered that I wanted to try the Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liners but I couldn't pick on a shade. Then I saw this....

Benefit Girls Night In!!!
It comes with 2 Creasless Cream Shadow/Liners, a "talent" brush, full finish lipstick, and 3 cute magnets.

~Cute Magnets~
Creaseless Shadow/Creme Liners

*No primer or based used for swatches.
"Talent" Brush (sorry so blurry)
The brush is "multipurpose" Line, Shade & CreaseFull Finish Lipstick
So of course I wanted to "play" with my new little kit. I decided to try to create a look using only stuff from the set & following the 3 Steps on the back of the packaging... No other colors no other brushes..... Ok I lied I did use mascara......
RESULTS FAIL, EPIC FAIL

The consistacy of the Creaseless Cream Shadow liners are kinda thin and really "spready" <-new word... I kinda expected them to be like a MAC PaintPot, which I usually apply with my ring finger. You definatley need to use a brush to apply these, or a very gentle & light finger. They kinda spread weird too... I'm just not used to the texture. There were smudgies all over the place.
The "line" I drew came out pretty dull & kinda mixed in with the lid color....
Too "FROSTY" looking...

Too much :(

Not Great....

The lipstick that came with the set "Ladies Choice" according to the set claims that "Miraculously, the shade look beautiful on just about every skin tone.
Umm, yeah.... I guess I don't fall into the "just about every skintone group"... If I was a smidge lighter we would of had a winner. I even used a darker liner to "make it work"....
So this faboulous lippie is going to a better home the home of Tammy, since we've started some kinda darkskin/carmel mocha skin doesn't match exchange program......
The kit was $38 at Sephora. I think it's a good deal especially if you want test of the Cream Shadows, they are $19 each at Sephora.
I wanted two so that would of cost me $38, so basically I won & beat the system because I got 2 shades that I like, a brush (which is actually a nice brush), a lippie, 3 cute magnets and makeup bag, that I will probably use for my trip to Atlanta in July.

Here are some cute little cards that came inside of the product pacaking!

In other Kendall news. I'm very sad *tear*, the cutest tiniest bunny has been living in my front and backyard for the past few weeks and I haven't seen him in almost two weeks. I love Playboy (I named him Playboy b/c he's a bunny, duh)... I would set on my step and watch him nibble on grass. I even thought about call Child Protective Services on his mama!!! He's a baby, he hardly even has a fluffy tail yet. She like abandoned him. He's so sweet, I got him to come up to me a few times and he keeps me company at night when I go out for a study "ciggie" break....... Here's some pics of my MISSING BUNNY!!!!

I miss him!!! I live in an area with some crazy ass animals that can attack or hurt my sweet little bunny.....
Hawks, Bobcats, Coyotes, Foxes & BEARS!!!!!

XoXo

Ohhh you got that set! I've been eying it...but the thing is, I tried Birthday Suit at the store and it just blends right in with my skin tone, hahaha looks like I'm not even wearing anything! Sorry to hear it didn't work out for you but that's so sweet that you're going to send it to Tammy.

Aww I hope you'll see the bunny again...wherever he is, I hope he's ok!

Hey girl! I'm sorry the set didn't work out for you, I shut down my blog for now because I actually just started working for Benefit as a freelance artist/sales rep. & been way to busy to even breathe let alone blog. I'm really fond hahh or pretty much in love the Girls Night In set, I use it all the time for a quick daytime look and i find that it works on many skin tones, i just used it on my cousin for church just a few weeks ago and her skin tone is comparable to mac nc42.

In the pictures it looks like you used WAYYYYY to much of the cream shadow, a little goes a long way! I do recommend using the brush included with the set to lightly dab 'birthday suit' all over lid up to the brow bone and LIGHTLY blend out harsh lines so it doesn't just stop at the end of your eye. it should look like a nice light sheen, similar to mac's shroom e/s. then take skinny jeans and dab dab dab just on the lid and remember to blend lightly upwards into your crease.

as for the lipstick.. again less is more! maybe 1 or even 2 coats is good then add a clear or sheer gloss.

Awww sweets I'm sorry that the Benefit kit didn't work out for you! Or the BM foundation. WE SAY NO TO WONKY!!

Tammy was raving about that kit! I think the colors in that one are too light for you. Maybe some of the darker colors would work. EIther way you're sill beautiful to me!

GASP! What an adorable little bunny!! I do hope you see him in your yard again soon! He's too cute to be someone's meal! :(

hey lovie! I would try the darker cream shadow just on the lid to give you a nice smokey effect and pack a nice sparkley brown shadow in top.

I hope you find playboy! he's soo adorable!

I just bought this kit too. I love using the shadows as bases, but I hate the brush. The lipstick is ok, kinda just blends in with my pale-ness lol.

I hope you find Playboy :)

Oh I have this set and I absolutely love it, but less is more. And you could always just use that as a base, and blend away with a MAC eyeshadow. I did a look using this kit on my blog a few months ago.

Strut is a good creaseless cream shadow, you should try that too!

I love this kit!!! I think you may need to apply this with your fingers instead..it will give you lighter look. OR try applying Skinny Jeans on your lid and then Birthday Suit..see how that works out for you. =)

Want me to help you find the bunny..?? It's so cute!

I bought this and I love it :D I think you need to blend it out with your fingers rather than use that brush for the entire application process. The brush is good for applying the colors to the lid but then I find myself smoothing out the edges with my fingers lol :) Sorry it didn't work for you! I halfway agree with the lipstick. I have discoloration sometimes and it makes my skin look dull when I wear it on a bad day xD

aww little bunny!

I think the light colors might not be the greatest for your skintone, but maybe their darker shadows (strut, busy signal, and a dark plum shade whose name i can't remember) might work better for you? I barely swipe my finger on the shadow to get a light wash of color, but it's really easy to use too much/use a heavy hand because it feels and looks so light. maybe play around with them a bit, or you could use them as a base to enhance the color of some eyeshadows that you own?
