Shattered & Crackled-China Glaze Crackle Polish Review

 

Hey Y'all!

I finally got my greedy little hands on some shatter nail polish. I was straight up stalking Ulta looking for O.P.I.'s Black Shatter from the O.P.I. Katy Perry Collection. They were always sold out as well as other stores that carry O.P.I. I even had a stupid coupon!  >_< I heard that China Glaze had their own collection. So I went to Sally's in search of this damn "unicorn" polish.

The China Glaze Crackle Collecion has 5 colors. They are priced at $4.99 or 2 for $10 with a Sally's Card.

I purchased Black Mesh (Black)  and Fault Line (Purple).

My first attempt came out a little wonky. I should of done two coats of my base color Essie Status Symbol (Pink)

I found that you really have to let your base color dry completely 100% to get the best "crackle/shattered" look. The Crackle polish dries really fast matte but when you add a top coat it will be shiny.

Overall I like this polish and it's fun to play with use under different base colors.

Spa Pedicure for Broke Girls

Hey Y'all!

Spring is sorta here in Atlanta. I realized that toe/foot exposure season is coming soon. Let me start off by saying that I hate feet and I hate looking at feet and I hate talking about feet!! >_< But I do love saving money and I love sharing my money saving ways.

I went to Sally's yesterday to renew my Sally's card and see if they had any China Glaze Crackle Glaze (which I scored in Purple & Black *does victory dance*). I remembered that it's "foot season" so I grabbed a new Mr. Pumice Block ($2.39) and I found this little gem...

A blow up Pedicure Tub!!! $6.69 with Sally's Card.

I love going to the salon and getting pedicures but I'm sooo ticklish and I tend to kick the poor nail tech and I feel bad. I'm all about saving when I can and this was a great investment in my opinion. It's inflatable so it doesn't take up a lot of space. You can even travel with it, I guess if you want, if its that serious to you.  I usually fill up the bathtub a bit but that's such a waste of water and cleaning time. It's also boring to sit on the edge of the tub and soak my feet. I put this in the living room and watched TV on the couch :)

Sally's also had some foot bath stuff that was $7.99. I passed on it because honestly. I have all kinds of body washes and bath stuff at home. I did get their travel size HEEL to TOE Spa Pedicure Foot Scrub @2.49 with card. I wanted to try it before I bought the full sized one. I really liked it so I will get the full sized one when I run out.

So it's at home Spa Pedicure Time.

1.~ Get all of your stuff ready. I forgot to do this and it ended up getting annoying, I had a keep getting up with wet feet. Grab a towel, pumice, file, polish, toe separators etc..

2.~ Remove any old polish with nail polish remover.

3.~ Blow up your tub (unfold it first it'll fill quicker).

4.~ Fill up the tub with warm water. Don't fill it up all the way like 50%60% full. I used the hottest water ever because I wasn't paying attention and I thought I was going to die of foot burns. >_< While your filling up the tub add your soaking stuff while the water is running so it'll bubble/foam up. I used some Olay Bodywash because seriously I'm soaking my feet and I wasn't buying special foot soak bath.

5.~ Relax & Soak

6.~ After you've soaked a bit, do your thing, trim your nails, file, break out the pumice and foot scrub and go to town.

*Feet really gross me out even my own. I hate PHOTOGRAPHING my own feet, seriously so grossed out..... >_<

7.~ Dry your feet.

8.~ Polish and be creative!

One toe. That's all I can deal with to photograph and post... I'm soo grossed out >_<

Not perfect up close but in real life you will never be this close to my foot.

I used China Glaze Rich & Famous, and I did the horrible design (it was my first time ever) with It's So Easy Stripe Rite in Black (698515) and Sliver (698590).

I want to practice more with the art polish :) Its fun. I've been making all kinds of stripes and designs on my nails. I will never pay for nail art again :)

Hi, y'all... I went SHOPPIN' today. Ok so it was minor shopping. I hit up the mall, it's so vast and empty just me and the other unemployed people with no money. I went to LUSH but the sales girls were all in my face and I had to get out so I didn't get my damn soaps I wanted too many people work in there. Same thing happened at Sephora I seriously can't deal with the stalker sales associates. Is it b/c I'm brown? I'm I being racially profiled in the Danbury Fair Mall? So I walked out the mall with nothing nada! Oh I glanced at the M.A.C. counter at MACY*S to see if maybe they accidentally put up the Hello Kitty stuff by accident, no such luck! But I did get lucky in Sally's.

So the total damage at Sally's $9.14 b/c I had a $5 off coupon for renewing my Sally's card last month. Without the coupons I would have spent $15.92 (score 4 me! )

REVIEW: Biore Deep Pore Cleansing Strips. Blast from the past! I haven't used this stuff since sleepovers in High School. So I wet my nose set my timer for 15 mins. Peeled it off and, either I have clean pores or the ish didn't work, I expected to see more guck and funk...... The package came with 8 strips and a FREE gift a trial size(.5 oz) Restore Skin-Boosting Night Serum.
I give these strips 1 of 5 ♥'s because I expected more funk on that strip. Oh the box came with a booklet and some coupons for other Biore products

REVIEW: Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque

So I've heard rav reviews about this stuff! I get nervous about putting new things on my face. So I tried it out and it felt tingly & good. I can't really tell if it did anything. Maybe I'll use it once a week. My face did feel rejuvenated and fresh! It was kinda hard to wash off. I had a grayish ashen look and my momma told me to stop messing with my "beautiful" face and to go rewash. She's soo cute! I give this product 3 ♥ ♥ ♥ because it felt good & tingly. I guess I need a regimen before I can truly rate it.

Today was a brain draining day (after shopping). I'm finally back into the school grove. I missed a lot of work because the 1st week of school was during Mommy Cat's funeral, then my Uncle Emo passed away on 1/23 and I was in Syracuse for a week. So it's time to buckle down and get the sh!t done. My mom is holding up ok. She's depressed (so am I but I've dealt w/ depression since my frist go round of college. She just missed her Mom so much. It's so hard. She called me b/c she came home and I wasn't here (I was at Borders studying). I don't think she likes being home alone, so I left. Tomorrow is her 1st day back at work she hasn't been in since Jan. 10th.
Did you know according to funeral ettitque your supposed to send Thank You's to everyone who sent you a card, flowers, money, and everyone who attended the funeral! That's retarded. Everytime we sit to do Thank- You's we get sad and depressed. I convienced her only to send Thank Yous to people who sent money, gifts, flowers, etc or came to the funeral but lives really far away. Mommy Cat had a billion friends and if we send Thank You's to everyone who came we would be doing Thank-You's until April!!!!!!
I'm going to order my BB Cream tonight!!! BB Cream for Brown Girls is coming VERY SOON! I made a video but I wont post it, I hate watching myself on videos. I do have a bunch of episodes of the "Kendall Show", lol. The Kendall Show only gets recorded when Kendall is drunk, lol., which is usually on Friday's around 5:15pm......

Mall Exercise & Sally's Mini Haul

I lied to myself, I said "no more retail for a least 2 weeks". I broke my promise :( I went to the mall today with intentions to get some exercise (it is too cold to be walking around outside). I enter though the MACY*S Mens Dept. b/c what could I want from there, opps the Mens' Dept. leads to the Cosmetics (MAC counter) and Handbags!! I headed straight upstairs. Then I see a denim sale. I really, really need a pair of new jeans, because I eat everything I see and I only own 1 pair that fits >_< . I donated all my "fat" jeans to Goodwill last year when I lost a ton of weight as a garantee that I'd never gain it back, b/c I wouldn't have pants (that's Kendall logic for ya)! Well gained weight and as my punishment I banned myself from buying bigger clothes! But these jeans were cute and I ate well all day today and plan to continue w/ my "Small Changes Plan". I only spent $24.99, and they were "generic" jeans MACY*S brand Style&Co. I was very good in Sephora! I didn't buy a thing. I broke again at Litmann Jewelers. I bought a pink heart charm & a stopper for my Zable Bracelet (new addiction). I only had the one charm that came with it and it's not pink and I had to fix that. That was it, then I was out & I got my exercise!
I also ran to Sally's b/c my Sally's card expired, so I had to get my $5 worth off stuff to make up for the $5 renewal fee (I also got a $5 coupon to use next month for renewing) so I kinda made $.
My next big Sally's purchase will be a 2'' or bigger curling iron so I can do some big sexy curls! I got some little stuff.Nail Stuff ~ I'm going to do my own manis & pedis for a while.... So I needed supplies: new polish, Rush Speed Dry Top Coat (the bottle is huge), files, those stick things.
I got the Tweezerman Professional Folding Lashcomb that I heard great reviews about thanks beauty bloggers.
Sally Girl Eyeshadow Triple Color thingy in Hi Life (I have no excuse for this purchase)
Some lashes and adhesive b/c one of my resolutions is to learn to do lashes.
I went to borders and got a book, I had a 40% off coupon that expires tomorrow and books don't count as spending money because they are an educational expense. Even if the title of said book is "Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper" A memoir by Diablo Cody......
Whatev, I can't do too much damage tomorrow it's supposed to snow for like 2 days so I'm set for a bit.....
Ohh this week is a good TV week! Gossip Girl is back, 90210 version 2.0, Daddy's Girls (Vanessa & Angelas hair looks fab! I'm guessing 18''-22 inches!!), The City, Bromance, Jon & Kate + 8, The Real World BK, Rock of Love.... That's why I read books to equal out all the trashy TV that I watch.

Straight & Silky: Hair Night

My "hair maintenance" schedule has been off a bit because of the holidays. So tonight I washed my hair with Creme of Nature poo & con, then let it air dry. I figured I'd post some pics of my hair air-dryed and how & what I used to straighten my hair. I'm currently rocking some fierce extensions! I ordered the hair from Halley's Curls back in September. I've only ordered from Halley's once, but there's some drama going on about her as a vendor on BHM (Black Hair Media) so I'm a bit wary of the company now.
I ordered 12oz of Indian Remy Hair 18" (I'm a length whore) (GW =Gentle Wave) and a matching (GW Large Closure). Remy hair is an investment and can last you many installs if you care for it properly. I plan on getting a new install in about 2wks and I plan on using the same hair.
I ♥ my flat iron!!! I bought it at Sally's it's a Jibre De Paris Ceramic Tourmaline iron
1 1/2. It gets my hair pin straight!!!! Excuse my face in these pics. I had on no makeup and in no way was I looking cute. I'ts very IMPORTANT to use a heat protecter when using a flat iron!! I use Ion (Anti-Frizz Solutions) Heat Protection Straightening Iron Spray, which I also got
at Sally's and it's not too expensive. I believe it was like $5.
A Thermal Heat Protectant is IMPORTANT for the health of the hair and prevents breakage, and burning.

Well peeps I'm out. I tried to do a video about the new Urban Decay & Balm Lady Palettes but I was having majors ISSUES figuring out how to look in the web cam, apply makeup and talk at the same time. I need to find a tutorial about making a tutorial :) Tomorrow, I'll be at Victoria's Secret bin digging for discounts because they are having their big Semi-Annual Sale! I've got DD Cups and those dissappear the fastest. Usually the left overs are fugly. Why do the big boobed girls get such crappy bra selections!!!
