I didn't use a base for these swatches I used nothing but a Q-Tip :-) and my bare arm. When posting swatches if I did anything different (like using a base, wet etc.) I usually state it under the pic. Sorry for any confusion. :)

How I discovered Beautiful Uglies is kind of a funny little love story. Ebonie is the CEO of Beautiful Uglies, she also is a "big deal" on YouTube. Her hair extensions tutorials are amazing, I was a subscriber and her videos got me through my very first self install. Me ♥ Ebonie long time. Then I randomly found her on Twitter, and I was like are you the YouTube Ebonie, you got me through my first install I ♥ you... Yeah, I'm a dork & luckily she didn't think I was crazy.... I truely support Beautiful Uglies because Ebonie & her sister started this company on there own!!! Independant Sistas doin it for themselves!!! I love it!!! They are just getting started but I know that Beautiful Uglies is going to be big!! I can wait to watch what they do.......... Oh, Ebonie, I know your reading this and umm if you need a Marketing/PR/Social Media/Branding Specialist "holla at your girl". You know sistas are supposed to support sisters!!! ♥

The act of putting lotion on my skin made something I did not find attractive or pleasing... aesthetically beautiful. In essence making something I felt was Ugly Beautiful. That is how Beautiful Uglies was born. Since then I have been experimenting with natural moisturizers, and fragrances. I was always into art and make up, my passion for vibrant colours and making unusual things beautiful has now become a full time job and I love it!

I'm being honest, this is mainly a Beauty Blog and if the goods sucked I would have to be honest with you ladies because I'm not going to give a good review, if the product sucks...............

The Challenge is OVER & I Relasped.........

Hi, Y'all!!! So my stint in rehab is over aka the NO HAULING CHALLENGE..... I learned a lot! I really was able to focus on the products and the colors that I already have, not only colors but different shades of the same colors.
Since the challenge is over I don't plan to "haul" like a damn fool anymore. I'm going to really focus on something before I buy it and ask myself questions like "do I have this color", "do I have this color in different shades/hues? I'm just not going to run to MAC every time a collection comes out just because its a new collection. I did slip up and I made a HUGE Cherry Culture order a few nights ago, but everything isn't for me, some of it is for gifts, contest prizes, random surprise packs, etc...
I did order two little things from MAC, I'm a sucker for free shipping promo codes. When I went to the MAC counter at MACY'S they were out of the Paint Pot that I wanted BLACKGROUND. I also ordered a Red Velvet Shadestick.


I'm trying to focus more on clothes and outfits. Hopefully Melissa of Fabulously Thrifty will be able to aid me in my "Evolution To Style". Style is all in my head! In my head I'm a freaking fashionista but when it comes to shopping I get frustrated, lazy & FAIL! >_<
I guess that's it for now, I hope everyone is having a good week. Did y'all remember to snag your Pretty Pink Box's?? I did! Set my alarm for 9:55am waited till 10:00am, placed my order then took my lazy behind back into my bed.........

Ohh No She Didn't!!!

Hi Y'all! Dang, it's only Monday and I got some B-DAY lovin'.. What did I find all by it's lonesome in my mailbox (there's was other mail in there but I guess Papa-dukes vision is getting bad because he didn't see the BOX!)

What's in That Box? March's Pretty Pink Box

Hi, Yall! So I got my March Pretty Pink Box, which I won from Linda's February contest!! Which meant that I got to keep my lazy behind in bed while y'all woke up at the crack of dawn to snag your boxes. I'm on the East Coast so the boxes go on sale at 10am which is early for a night owl like me.
I made a little video about what I got inside. I tried to keep my rambling & fidgeting down to a minimum. Don't sweat the opening & closing credits! I discovered Windows Movie Maker on my laptop last night know I think I'm some kind of filmaker-nista!

(I have such a New Yawk/Lawng Island accent but I try to to hide it in my videos)

Doesn't that sound romanitical, Mel???? I'm also planning a quick trip to Beantown maybe I'll harass Pink (feel better honey!!) My mom surprised me with tickets to see In The Heights! on Broadway for April, 18th!
It's my first b-day in a while as a single lady so it better involve some drinks, food, hottness & debauchery! The festivites begin on THURS. APRIL 2nd and I'm going to party until I can't stand it anymore!!! Then i will check myself into a good detox program.

Hi, Y'all! I felt like making a video in honor of February's Pretty Pink Box! This was my 1st one and definatley not my last! I set the link the night before and woke by black behind up at 9:55am EST to get my grubby little hands on one!

In the video I'm wearing Katie B.'s shadow in Gold Leaf! Amazing color!! I also used all of the Adorned with Grace Mineral's eyeshadow samples for my crease and blending. I even used one of their blushes as a shadow because it was too light for me to use as a blush!
I ended up taking a zillion pics with my webcam and my digicam so here's a little slide show! Oh the cleavage shot is for Ms. xppinkx because we have a boobie kind of relationship at the moment!
