Blogger Meetup & Asian Market Haul

Hi Y'all!! Miss me much? So last Friday May 23rd, I went to a little BLOGGER MEETUP! Melissa of Fabulously Thrifty have been trying to coordinate a date for like 2 months, we're busy ladies. We've been emailing daily since our Virginal Swap months ago. We decided to meetup in her hood White Plains, NY!!! After lunch we galavanted to the Galleria Mall!! Yes The Westchester is in the same area but I wasn't trying to max out any credit cards at Nordies, Tiffany&Co., Nieman Marcus or Louis Vuitton.

We mostly browsed! I'm sooooooooo happy that I finally got a chance to meet up with Melissa!!! It was like hanging out with a friend who I hadn't seen in years. We have so many odd and random things in common, no werid awkard silences, chitter chatter. Our next date with be taking place in my hood at the OG, lol The Olive Garden....
Melissa is on a cruise right now, lucky b!tc@! So hopefully we can meet up again soon. Were only about 45mins apart.

So after Melissa and I departed I rememered that there was an Asian SUPERMARET in the area, so thanks to my super smart Blackberry and txting my friend C (she works right near it). I headed over to the White Plains Mall. All I could think was SHADY! It looked like one of those dying malls on life support. You the mall that was poppin' in the late 70's early 80's. The Asian Market is on the lower level and pretty much is the entire lower level. The upper level had a hood Beauty Supply Store, and a Uniform Outlet Store (scrubs, restaurant apparel etc...) So I headed downstairs to Kam Sen Foods! I only went in there for 3 things and maybe some candy.
I really wanted ingredients for Hurricane Popcorn. Wuzzy was kind enough to send me some, but I need to make it myself. I can't ask her to send me some on a regular basis, lol..... ;) She did post the ingredients on her blog.
I needed Furiflake (rice seasoning, seasoned nori sprinkles), Arare (Kamochi, Rice Crackers, Mochi Crunch) or Li0Hing Mui Powder if Furiflake was unavailble. I was set & on a mission!! I had all this typed into my Blackberry, lol....
Kam Sen is HUGE!!!! I tried to use my common sense and try to find some items on my own, no luck. So I ask a man for help, but he no good at English, so he yells to Jaun (the guys name was Jaun, I'm not sterotyping). Asian Man "Jaun come help pretty spanish girl she looking for seasonings I no understand her, she type word on phone" I'm not Spanish, lol it's the long hair that I bought from and Indian lady that throws people off, lol. So Jaun comes to help me (thank GOD that I can speak spanish, I'm not 100% anymore but I can get by). Jaun can't read english so my list in my phone didn't help, he wanted pics of the packages of the things that I was looking for!!!!!!! So since communication wasn't working I gave up and decided to walk around, then I found the candy & snack section........... I felt like I was in Willy Wonkas Asian Candy Factory!! I needed to upgrade from a basket to a cart. Yan Yan, in all flavors (vanilla, chocolate & strawberry)!!! Some with double icing!!!! Gummy's Strawberry & Peach, Kawaii Gum!! Plain Tea Biscuits!! Pocky, Dessert Pocky, Rice Cracker Mix. I lost my damn mind.... I'm set on import candy & snacks for a good while.....

Swatch Crazy with About Face Cosmetics

Hi Y'all. I hope everybody had a good weekend got some sun and stayed away from the piggy swine flu....... @(

I heard about About Face Cosmetics from my Beauty Blogger luva Melissa aka Fabulously Thrifty. They have so many colors to pick from. I didn't know what to do with my self. It was overwhelming but in a good way. My greedy behind wanted them all... The nice thing about About Face Cosmetics is that you can order SAMPLES!!! So I ordered a bunch, like 24 I think! Each sample is only $.50 cents!!! So here's what I got!!! I think it's really nice that they allow you to get samples because they have like 100's of colors to choose from and some are matte, shimmery, velvet, twinkles & pearls, and powdered diamond dusts. Of course after I figure out what colors I really want, I'll be back for full sized orders......

According to there website each sample bag is enough for 5 applications.... But y'all know that Kendall doesn't like baggies, >_< href="http://www.tkbtrading.com/">TKB Trading. I mean don't get me wrong I love samples I just find baggies hard to work with and I'm OCD and anal.....

I really love these shadows. They are pigmented and true to color even on my dark skin.

The Challenge is OVER & I Relasped.........

Hi, Y'all!!! So my stint in rehab is over aka the NO HAULING CHALLENGE..... I learned a lot! I really was able to focus on the products and the colors that I already have, not only colors but different shades of the same colors.
Since the challenge is over I don't plan to "haul" like a damn fool anymore. I'm going to really focus on something before I buy it and ask myself questions like "do I have this color", "do I have this color in different shades/hues? I'm just not going to run to MAC every time a collection comes out just because its a new collection. I did slip up and I made a HUGE Cherry Culture order a few nights ago, but everything isn't for me, some of it is for gifts, contest prizes, random surprise packs, etc...
I did order two little things from MAC, I'm a sucker for free shipping promo codes. When I went to the MAC counter at MACY'S they were out of the Paint Pot that I wanted BLACKGROUND. I also ordered a Red Velvet Shadestick.


I'm trying to focus more on clothes and outfits. Hopefully Melissa of Fabulously Thrifty will be able to aid me in my "Evolution To Style". Style is all in my head! In my head I'm a freaking fashionista but when it comes to shopping I get frustrated, lazy & FAIL! >_<
I guess that's it for now, I hope everyone is having a good week. Did y'all remember to snag your Pretty Pink Box's?? I did! Set my alarm for 9:55am waited till 10:00am, placed my order then took my lazy behind back into my bed.........

Hi Y'all! I'm still luxuri-atin' in my Birthday Love!!!! I don't feel old or anything except my knee is bothering me :( !!!! I feel so loved by y'all that I've been blushing for days!!! I may not have a lot of "like-minded" girlfriends here in CT but I have you guys and every single Birthday wish & shoutout on Twitter, Facebook, BB Messenger, Text, Message, Snail Mail, Card warmed my little heart. It meant so much too me especially because its my first bday with my Mommy Cat (my grandmother). I miss her so much.... I was sad because she always sends me a cute card and calls me and sings to me in the phone.
So I'm sure my mailman thinks I'm one special betoch because he's had to drop packages at my doorstep.
Oh my Natalie, how do I love thee? You surprised the FREAKIN' crap out of me!!!! Me & Natalie go back, way back like since the 7th grade way back. She's my sutlry Puerto-Rican lover. My Night Out

In all, I had a wonderful birthday. My night out didn't turn out the way that I planned, but I'm I can't complain. Me & "C" went to New Haven to see what the scene was like. First we went to Bar for some New Haven style pizza & a drinks...
Then we walked over to Ivy Lounge........ It was ummm interesting... There was supposed to be a Burlesque Show but I think we missed it because we got there kinda late :( . It's an interesting place. There's a basement area with a bar & DJ and they were spinning hardcore trance dance music. Reminded me of a rave, there were people dancing with glow sticks just flowing around. Sucks that I left my pacifer, candy necklace & E at home......... The middle level also had a DJ spinning 80's music and a bar......... The top level had more of a lounge vibe with a bar lots of black leather couches and I liked that part the best but I don't think my friends did :( they also had a heated outdoor roof area. I would go back there but in the summer because they didn't have a coat check and it was in the 30's last night and I had to lug around my coat which kinda sucked...... So we went there and went to another bar called Hott Tomato's or something (sorry, can't remember). I had the best martini it was called and Bubble-something (sorry forgot again) it had Skyy Vodka, Strawberry Puree, Champagne and (sorry, I forgot). It was soo yummy.... There were three guys sitting next to me and I feel really bad because one of them introduced himself to me and I couldn't understand a word he said. All I got was that he's visiting from Africa...I kept calling him "Coming to America"....... He thought I was a bitch because I kept saying "WHAT, HUH & YEAH", I must of sounded like Lil' John........ It wasn't loud in there I just couldn't understand the brother.... He gave up on me & I think I offended him.......... Than home we went......

What's a Blog without a little talk about makeup? I did a really bright purple smokey eye...... I used Beautiful Uglies Indelible Creme Eye Shadow in Plumkin & Beautiful Uglies Pigment in Grapevine, MAC Parfait Amour, & MAC Carbon............
