Tarte Flower Child Night Look- FOTN

Hi Y'all!!! I finally BROKE OUT THE BRUSHES!!! I'm still in a mini rut...Still feelin' stank with a bad case of the winter blues. I ordered a limited edition Tarte Palette way back in December from Sephora. It was on sale.. Hence why I own it...
Tarte's Flower Child Palette
I didn't use my own pic because the pans are magnetic/refillable and I opened mine upside down and all the colors are mixed up & I put them back in my own OCD order....

I am in LOVE with the brush that it came with!! It's my FAVORITE crease brush!! The lid side is aight.. Nothing to blog about I'm not a fan of double sided brushes because I store mine in brush holders and I can only see the side that's sticking up.... I'm also OCD and my crease brushes are separate from my lid brushes and this double ended business drives me LOCA!!!!

This look can be easily duped with any brand of eyeshadow! You only need a blue, green, & purple! Don't run out and spend money that y'all don't have!!!

Step #1- Prep your eyelids with with whatever you like to prime your eyes with, UDPP, concealer, Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I could care less. Paint Pots, NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils...

Use "Shimmering Delphinum Blue" to the center of the lid from the lashline to a little above the crease.  I went in a little to far, but whatever.. I used the 'all over eyeshadow brush' that came with the palette but again.. Your favorite lid brush will do.

Step 2- Use "Shimmering Vibrant Forest Grass" on the inner half of your lid with the 'easy crease brush'... Use your favorite crease brush.
*Sorry that pic came out blurry & wonky....

Step 3- Take "Shimmering African Violet" from the outer corner to the center blend upwards a little past the crease and blend it into the "Shimmering Delphinium Blue". Trace the outer corner of the eye beneath the bottom rim using a the 'easy crease brush'... I had to use different crease brush because my 'easy crease brush' was still dirty from the blue.... When I'm working with dark or really pigmented colors I like to use a clean brush for each color.

Use whatever color your heart desires as a highlight... I usually highlight first, but I didn't want to confuse y'all. I don't remember what I used... FAIL >_<

Step 4- Line top and bottom of your eyes with 'Shimmering Jade' liner... Any liner in a jade-ish color will do..

Step 5- Apply some mascara or pop some lashes on! The band from my lashes killed the 'shimmering jade liner" on the top. Which is fine by me because I'm addicted to my black liner!!
Fill in your brows.

Step 6- CAMWHORE

Here's more pics of my "furbaby"!!! She wanted to show y'all that she's a BIG girl & is 91% outside potty trained and she know's how to "SIT" when mommy tells her even without a treat. It's kind of cute she'll just "SIT" in the middle of nowhere and give me the 'I'm being good, gimmie a treat face'...

Happy Freakin' Valentine's Day!

 Happy Freakin' Valentine's Day!!!

Hi y'all!!! I promise I'm not going to turn into physco doggie mommy blogger... Besides job-hunting she's pretty much gets most of my attention... If I don't give it to her she acts a straight up fool... An attention whore... Wonder where she got that from. She's not into makeup yet. She's obsessed with getting brushed and playing with her brush... Wonder where she got that from...
She's two months old now!!! I took her with me on all of my errands the other day... I hate the carrier that I have for her.  I found a "springy" looking cute carrier at PetCo on clearance, whoot!!! But Ms. Houdini here figured out how to ESCAPE!!! So it had to be returned.

It's not cute all all but it's safe it has seatbelts loops with helps her not fall out of the seat with my crazy driving, roomy & comfy for her and has lots of pockets to stash treats, leashes, clickers...

It's a Bergan Comfort Pet Carrier.  I was eyeballing it at PetSmart in Pink or Raspberry but it retailed for $40 for the small size.....  I ended up getting what I thought was a 'generic' pet carrier at Wal-Mart in black and bigger in size for $19.99... Turns out it was the same carrier!!! The brand and tags were exactly the same.  Also this carrier is approved for in flight use in case I decided to bring her home with me. So I'm glad that I didn't get the cute pink smaller one for $40!

It snowed in ATL on Friday. Which caused mass hysteria and all kinds of pointless phuckery.....  Chloe got to see snow for the first time... At first she was scared of it.. Then annoyed b/c she thought she couldn't "potty on it'. Then she realized that she could eat it and it was like water....

By Saturday she was obsessed with it. Thankfully it's all pretty much melted now..
She can be FUSTRATING AS HELL... It's hard to be "on" 24/7, and that's what she expects... I just wish that my cousin would help out with her training and play with her more... She brought her home & she's with me 90% of the time and when I leave she gets all upset.... I'm learning all I can online... The last time I had a puppy I was 6....

I'll be back with some makeup related posts soon... Pinky Swear!! I'm in a rut right now.....

I Know.....

Hi Y'all!!! I know that I've become the worst blogger on the planet.... It's mid-winter and I'm in hibernation mode...I'm not inspired to do FOTDs or play with makeup..I use the same boring old colors everyday. I thought moving south would help with that but I guess I'm not south enough..... I have a case of stanks...... I'm a child of sunshine and warmth... Not gray skies and low temps..... My days are full of puppy daycare and job-hunting...My life goes something like this... Wake up... Take Chloe out.. Play with Chloe... Feed Chloe... Feed myself.....Teach her to go Potty Outside.. Play...Nap....Job Hunt... Harvest Farmville crap.... Outside... Play...Nap...Outside....Play....Play...Outside. Repeat.....
Like does anyone even read resumes anymore? Do they go into a big black hole somewhere?? Sometimes I want to give up the search... Then I remember that I have eat & I want stuff and I'm riding out my last DOL extension... I've been told that I'm too 'overqualifed' to flip burgers, or fry fries, but I don't have "enough experience" to answer the phone in an office... It seems like in this job market you need a Ph.D & 12 years of experience to be a freaking Administrative Assistant...
Should I pack up my stuff and drive 16hrs and go back home?? Probably wont solve anything... It's colder there anyways.....
At least February is the shortest month... It's my least favorite.........

1st Just A Girl GIVE AWAY!

Hi Y'all! I'm hella late with this one......... A rep from Skin MD Natural contacted me and asked me if I would be interested in trying a product from their line! Y'all know my broke behind isn't gonna say no! I wish a rep from Target would or the supermarket would contact me....
I've actaully been using the Skin Shield MD for a while now... I wanted to personally see how it went for a few weeks before reviewing it & waited on it.... Then a few other blogger friends of mine posted their reviews and I didn't want to seem redundant. So it's time and it's on my list of stuff to do & crossing things off that list makes me happy....

"There are thousands of skin irritants in our modern environment that didn't exist only 50 years ago. These irritants can strip the protective barrier off your skin causing dry skin, eczema and other skin problems. These changes in our environment have brought about the need for a new type of dry skin care solution – a shielding lotion.
Shampoos, antibacterial soaps, cosmetics, fragrances, colorants and other irritants bombard and penetrate the skin. These harsh chemicals and irritants can break down the skin's natural protective ability. Some strip away moisture, while others lodge in the pores where they cause irritation and other negative reactions.
Unfortunately, traditional lotions have one basic goal - to simply make up for the moisture that our bodies are losing by adding an external source of moisture. Many common household products and even soaps are absorbed directly into your skin, causing skin disorders or just plain dry cracked skin. Also, when participating in other activities from gardening to painting, furniture restoration to fishing, or exposure to harsh weather, you are further drying and irritating your skin."
The Shielding Lotion came to me at a really good time... Since I've moved down here I've noticed that my face seemed dryer than usual....  I don't know what it is, but since I've started using this lotion on my face I haven't had any issues with dryness. Since it's fragrance & colorant free it doesn't irritate my face.  You can use this lotion anywhere on your body I personally like it as my face lotion. I have to be really careful with what I chose to slap on my skin because if it doesn't like it it'll break out. Not cute...

The consistency is quite thin and I initially thought "later for this stuff"... Taught my behind not to judge so quickly.. It works great!!! I feel moisturized after I use it & I don't need to constantly re-apply.
You can purchase the Shielding Lotion directly from Skin MD Naturals [here] or at some drug stores.  Based on my zip code (Atlanta, GA) you can find it at Concord Pharmacy, Kroger, CVS,  and Wender's & Roberts Drugs. You can find a retailer in your area here.

So I'm going to make this giveaway easy.....
